Mirabel is a beautiful French Canadian city and a regional county Municipality in Quebec, northwest of Montreal in Canada. It is currently the fastest growing city in Canada, and a new recreational and tourist project is currently being built there. Lac Mirabel will be located in Mirabel, thus ensuring that the city stakes a claim on the tourism map.
Flights arrive at Montreal international airport, 37 miles away, and transfer time is approximately two hours. Although Mirabel does have it’s own airport, this is not in use for commercial business.
If you plan to visit Mirabel during the summer, there is a white sandy beach, where one can soak up the beautiful Canadian sun. Take the time to explore this region of Canada, and for those of you with a sweet tooth, a visit to one of the Maple Sugar Shacks that are dotted around the area. One of which is situated in Saint-Benoit-de-Mirabel. This area is one of Quebec’s major agricultural regions, and visitors can learn about the making of maple syrup - Yummy!
The weather during the winter season is well below freezing, so make sure that you wrap up warm before you hit the nearby ski slopes in Quebec City.
